This Too Shall Pass

“This Too Shall Pass”

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-

Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains

That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

Life after death

Here is Christianity’s greatest authority on life after death…..

We will study the Greek and Hebrew words that are most important to his meaning.

Using King James Version + Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries

(Luk 23:39)  And1161 one1520 of the3588 malefactors2557 which were hanged2910 railed on987 him,846 saying,3004 If1487 thou4771 be1488 Christ,5547 save4982 thyself4572 and2532 us.2248

TODAY  G4594  σήμερον  sēmeron  say’-mer-on

Neuter (as adverb) of a presumed compound of the article G3588 (“tau” changed to “sigma”) and G2250; on the (that is, THIS) DAY (or night current or just passed); genitively now (that is, at present, hitherto): – THIS (TO-) DAY.

G3588  ὁ, ἡ, τό  ho  hē  to  ho, hay, to

The masculine, feminine (second) and neuter (third) forms, in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom): – the, THIS, that, one, he, she, it, etc.

G2250  ἡμέρα  hēmera  hay-mer’-ah

Feminine (with G5610 implied) of a derivative of ἧμαι hēmai (to sit; akin to the base of G1476) meaning tame, that is, gentle; day, that is, (LITERALLY) THE TIME SPACE BETWEEN DAWN AND DARK, OR THE WHOLE 24 HOURS (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes); figuratively a period (always defined more or less clearly by the context): – age, + alway, (mid-) day (by day, [-ly]), + for ever, judgment, (day) time, while, years.

PARADISE  G3857  παράδεισος  paradeisos  par-ad’-i-sos

Of foreign origin; a park: – forest, orchard.

(Gen 2:8)  And the LORD3068 God430 planted5193 a garden1588 eastward4480, 6924 in Eden;5731 and there8033 he put7760 (853) the man120 whom834 he had formed.3335

H5731  עדן  ‛êden  ay’-den

The same as H5730 (masculine); Eden, the region of Adam’s home: – Eden.

H5730  עדנה    עדן   ‛êden  ‛ednâh  ay’-den, ed-naw’

From H5727; pleasure: – delicate, delight, pleasure. See also H1040.

H5727  עדן   ‛âdan  aw-dan’

A primitive root; to be soft or pleasant; figuratively and reflexively to live voluptuously: – delight self.

H1040  בּית עדן  bêyth ‛êden  bayth ay’-den

From H1004 and H5730; house of pleasure; Beth-Eden, a place in Syria: – Beth-eden.

H1004   בּית  bayith  bah’-yith

H1129  בּנה   bânâh  baw-naw’

A primitive root; to build (literally and figuratively): – (begin to) build (-er), obtain children, make, repair, set (up), X surely.

This is scripture that is generally ignored when it comes to “heaven” theology. In this scripture Jesus tells the penitent thief firmly, surely, truthfully; today, this day, at the end of this current period you will be with me in a garden, park, or a place of delicate pleasure

You see, we don’t die and just wait for the resurrection of this body. We make a transition from time to eternity at the precise end of this life.

We have it in very firm, truthful, and sure words as Jesus is contemplating his transition while on the cross.

His faith in this transition and his statement is very clear. He believed that his spirit lived on in his FATHER after his physical existence was over:

(Luk 23:46)  And2532 when Jesus2424 had cried5455 with a loud3173 voice,5456 he said,2036 Father,3962 into1519 thy4675 hands5495 I commend3908 my3450 spirit:4151 and2532 having said2036 thus,5023 he gave up the ghost.1606  …Remember, that he told the thief that he would be there with him also (this day) today.

Remember, also that the next moment could be the moment of your transition and live accordingly.

Most of our scriptures are a very narrow interpretation of the Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek words that were used to transmit the words of truth to us. Dig deeply and find the fullness of the message that was transmitted to us.

CHOICE

CHOICE

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: Therefore CHOOSE life. [Deuteronomy 30:19]

Refuse the evil, and CHOOSE the good. [Isaiah 7:15]

What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to CHOOSE life.

Leo Buscaglia American Expert on Love, Lecturer, Author

You and I are essentially infinite CHOICE-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of CHOICES.

Deepak Chopra  East-Indian- American M.D., New Age Author, Lecturer

Everything can be taken away from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedom — to CHOOSE one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to CHOOSE one’s own way.

Viktor E. Frankl 1905-, Austrian Psychiatrist, Neurology, Writer, ”Man’s Search for Meaning”

When we acknowledge that all of life is sacred and that each act is an act of CHOICE and therefore sacred, then life is a sacred dance lived consciously each moment. When we live at this level, we participate in the creation of a better world. [The Circle is Sacred]

Scout Cloud Lee  American Author

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can CHOOSE which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Groucho Marx  1895-1977, American Comic Actor

One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the CHOICES one makes. In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And, the CHOICES we make are ultimately our own responsibility.

Eleanor Roosevelt  1884-1962, American First Lady, Columnist, Lecturer, Humanitarian

Give Love

GIVE LOVE

GIVE :

ALL your LOVE

To ALL relationships

ALL the time

The only LOVE,  that you truly know in any relationship,  is the LOVE that you bring.

Do you believe that Jesus commanded us to LOVE GOD and our neighbor, only because it is a “nice” thing to do?

No, LOVE is the very ground of our BEING.

(God is love;  he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him)

(I AM in the Father, and the Father in me)

LOVE is not an intensive of like.

Like can never grow into LOVE

Like has to do with preferences and addictions (habitual behavior)

Likes are based on judgments and comparisons.

LOVE has no prejudice (pre-judging).

Read on…..

(Mat 5:43)  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

(Mat 5:44)  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

(Mat 5:45)  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

It is so easy to confess or profess a faith; but it is very hard work to express a faith.

Confessing or professing a faith is knowledge about a faith; expressing a faith is acting on a faith (living a faith).  Action turns knowledge into wisdom (perfection)….

(Mat 22:35)  Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying,

(Mat 22:36)  Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?

(Mat 22:37)  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

(Mat 22:38)  This is the first and great commandment.

(Mat 22:39)  And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

(Mat 22:40)  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

(Joh 13:34)  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

(Joh 13:35)  By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

(Joh 14:10)  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

(1Jo 4:16)  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

(1Jo 4:17)  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

(1Jo 4:18)  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

(1Jo 4:19)  We love him, because he first loved us.

(1Jo 4:20)  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Do you believe that loving everyone is impossible? Stop thinking only about yourself in any moment and search your heart, you will find the inspiration to do the impossible!

(Deu 30:11)  For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off.

(Deu 30:12)  It [is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

(Deu 30:13)  Neither [is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

(Deu 30:14)  But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

(Deu 30:15)  See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

(Luk 17:20)  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

(Luk 17:21)  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Take notice that Jesus is talking to the Pharisees here. He tells them “the kingdom of GOD is within you.” He doesn’t say the kingdom of GOD might or could be within you; if you do “so and so” or “such and such”. He says “behold, the kingdom of God IS within you.”  Take notice also that this is said in an imperative context (behold) .

(Mat 6:9)  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

(Mat 6:10)  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

( behold, the kingdom of God [heaven] is within you)

(God is love;  he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him)

(I AM in the Father, and the Father in me)

(But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest DO it.)

Would you like to see the kingdom of God in earth?

LOVE it into expression (manifestation)!

LOVE is GOD’S will!

(Mat 6:11)  Give us this day our daily bread.

(Mat 6:12)  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

(Mat 6:13)  And lead us not into [leave us not in]  temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

BARTER

BARTER

These are procedures that I use to BARTER with the ego, when

the ego presents me with the turmoil of negative feelings and

emotions.

Breathing – deep breathing in & out is the quickest way to bring

the body back to balance. Anger (frustration) is a strong exhalation.

Sorrow is a strong inhalation. Don’t forget to fill your belly with air!

Attention to posture – sitting or moving with a sense of focused

elegance or grace is a wonderful way; to come back to the body,

to come back to our senses.

Relaxation – whatever activity or lack of activity that causes you

to relax is a good bargaining chip to reduce psycho-babble in life.

Temporary change of environment – this can be done physically

or mentally. There is nothing like a change of scenery to bring about

a change in mind. Think about those places that produce the most

positive changes in your attitude. (If you have a chronic problem

with an environment, think about a permanent change.)

External distraction – a good book, good music, exercise, or any

other diversion that gives us a “good” feeling inside will help to

dissipate the energy of negative emotions.

Regenerating positive action – do something that makes a positive

change to the world around you. Return “good” for “evil”. Give yourself

to “serve” others. Make “peace” with everyone around you. This is

especially effective when observing another’s behavior causes

negative emotions and feelings to rise up inside of you.

Agree (settle) with your adversary quickly.

Desiderata

“Desiderata”

 — written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s —

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
